A length of reinforcement bar (1) is used to form an anchor point for prefab. concrete components. The bar is mfd. with ribbing (12) along its length and has a crank, wave or similar shaping introduced into its lower length to help bind the bar firmly into the concrete. The head of the bar is compressed or upset to form a profile (2) of enlarged cross-section for attachment to a lifting appts. USE/ADVANTAGE - The concrete anchor simple and economical to make and can transmit large loads.
