The electromagnet has a spring loaded armature (6) with a piston (5) and a core (4) around the piston (5) fixed inside a frame (1). A spool body (2) and coil (3) are arranged around the armature (6) and core (4). After the coil (3) is excited, the armature (6) partly dipped in the core (4) reaches the system against the force of a return spring (7) around the piston (5). It is held at a given distance from the core (4) by an anti-adhesive plate (6d). The armature (6) is shorter and lighter than the core (4). It has an active surface (6c) forming a ring reaching to the outer cladding surface (6a). A thinner armature cone (6b) is mounted on the ring (6c) coaxial to the piston (5) and extends fully into the core (4). The anti-adhesive plate (6d) is placed around the cone (6b) while the return spring (7) is supported on the top of the cone (6b). ADVANTAGE - Provides powerful acceleration of armature with less tension and has strong holding force to close housing.
