The engine has a cooling circuit of a cylinder crank case with cooling medium chambers, which are connected to similar chambers in the cylinder head. It also has a thermostat, a cooling medium pump, and a cooling medium heat exchanger. The cooling medium circuit is formed by chambers in cylinder head (3), heat exchanger (6), thermostat (8) and pump (9). The cylinder crank case (2) is connected to the cooling medium circuit only via the connection aperture (4.1) at the connection cylinder crank case-cylinder head. Cooling medium intake and discharge are located on the cylinder head. ADVANTAGE - Improved cooling system with increased cooling of cylinder head.
