A metering pump for viscous fluids such as casting resins is followed by a casting valve which discharges into a low pressure. The metering pump is horizontal and below a non-return valve which is fitted between the fluid supply and the pump. The passages between the fluid supply and the exit are essentially horizontal or slanting or vertically downwards. USE/ADVANTAGE - Improved arrangement which avoids upward fluid flow passages in a compact construction
