The folding roof for a cabriolet vehicle in which the roof cover (10) is gripped by a positive engagement flexible drawing means (14) in the form of a steel cable (17) which is attached to the front hooped support (12) and to the rear hooped support (13). The attachments are made by means of two screws (21) and the roof cover is guided by runners (18). ADVANTAGE - Holds down the roof during travel and prevents a billowing effect of the outer cover.
