Rotting tank bio-gas take=off - has controlled extraction rate to maintain inner pressure at ambient levels for tank which is not hermetically sealed

To recover biogas from a rotting tank (2), the extracted gas vol. is controlled to maintain an inner gas pressure within the tank (2) which has a max. threshold value slightly above the ambient pressure. Also claimed is a rotting tank (2) with a gas suction extraction (4) for the developing biogas. A control (10) operates the suction system (4) to maintain the required inner gas pressure level. Pref. the pressure threshold is 1 mbar over the ambient atmospheric pressure, and pref. 0.5 mbar. The difference in pressure between the ambient atmosphere and the interior of the rotting tank is less than 0.1 mbar and pref. less than 0.05 mbar. The tank inner pressure is constantly compared with the ambient pressure to control the biogas take-off rate. USE/ADVANTAGE - The system is for a rotting tank which is not hermetically sealed, for rotting organic waste. The operation recovers the developed biogas, without leakage, using a tank which does not have to be gas tight.
