In a splicing arrangement for a new supply roll (1) for the automatic splicing of roll webs, in particular of paper rolls in web-fed rotary printing machines, the object consists in readily and securely applying the adhesive tape (6) to the new supply roll (1), which adhesive tape tears off without jerking after complete splicing to an expiring residual roll (9). This object is achieved in that the adhesive tape (6), as a double-sided adhesive tape, is designed with a layer (12) of uniform adhesiveness on the first side to produce an adhesive splice to an expiring web (8) of a residual roll (9) and adhesive layers (16, 13, 22) of different adhesiveness arranged adjacent to one another on the second side. Here the adhesive tape (6) covers the start (2) of the paper web of the new supply roll (1) and fixes it to the second layer (7) of the supply roll.
