The frame has two uprights (11.1,11.2) of triangular cross section with one side open to present grooves to locate fasteners and cover plates (20.1). A triangular cross section cross member (11.3) with an open upper surface joins the uprights and supports the mailbox. Support feet (30) and upper cap profiles (40) complete the structure. The frame is assembled on site with the fasteners gripping any required part of the groove pattern. The triangular cross section is braced by at least one internal bulkhead.
