Vibration-free rotor-on gas bearings

High-speed rotor ring without vibration on gas bearings. It is first statically and dynamically balanced. The bearing surface of the shaft and or the bearing has a non-wearing layer of pref. polyetetrafluoroethylene, of uniform surface roughness. Pref. the layer is produced by dip-burnishing a steel bearing surface, or is applied by anodizing or plating.
