The bar-shaped thread-guide element (10) for textile machines, especially as a loom heald, consists of compact thermoplastic reinforced with industrial filament fibres. The fibre reinforcement consists of a braided tube (2), and an eye orifice (6) is formed by a widening of the braided fibre strands (3). These thread-guide elements are substantially lighter than previous steel healds.
