Electroslag ingot mould insert ensures - good electrical contact

A metal plate, weldably compatible with the ingot material, is positioned on top of the baseplate of an electroslag ingot mould. The plate extends through joint between the mould wall and the baseplate. The plate welds to the forming ingot and ensures good electrical contact during ingot production and subsequent hot topping procedure (if required).
