PURPOSE:To enable high sensitivity writing at DC linear velocity by arranging a means for optically recording/reproducing data on an optical recording medium containing a compd. expressed by a specific formula and a means for rotating the reproducing means. CONSTITUTION:An optical recording/reproducing device is equipped with an optical recording/reproducing means equipped with a laser oscillator for optically recording/reproducing data on an optical recording medium having an optical recording layer containing one or more kind of a compd. expressed by formula I (wherein M1 is Si, Ge or Sn, z1, z2, z3 and z4 are a ring non-substituted or having one or more substituent X selected from a nitrogen-containing aromatic ring, a benzene ring, a naphthalene ring and a pyridine ring, X is a 1-20C alkyl group or an alkenyl group and Y<1> and Y<2> are Ar) and one or more kinds of compds. expressed by formula II (wherein M is a transition metal, z1, z2, z3 and z4 are a pyridine ring non-substituted or having one or more monovalent substituent X and X is a 1-20C aromatic hydrocarbon group), a means for rotating the reproducing means, a drive circuit, a processor and an output means for outputting data from the processor. |
