摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To locate a section image in the center of a display plane to make displaying without increasing the number of section images by storing in a memory means the information about the distance of the first linear cursor from the center of display plane, and correcting dislocation therefrom on the basis of this information when a reflection of the third section image is to be generated. CONSTITUTION:Information about the distance of a linear cursor 25 from the center of a display plane is stored in memory when the cursor 25 is located in a scanographic tomographic image surface, to generate a reflection of the desired section image, when the dislocation from center in the up-and-down direction on the display plane is corrected on the basis of this information. By a dot-form cursor 52 a frame 20B is shifted in an amount x0 relative to another frame 20A, and the tomographic image is located in the center in the left-and-right direction. From the frame 20B a third frame 20C is shifted in an amount corresponding to the distance y0 of the linear cursor 25 from the center of display plane, and the tomographic image is located in the center in up-and-down direction. Thus, the desired section image is located in the center of the display plane both in the left-and-right direction and up-and-down direction.</p>
