<p>PURPOSE:To improve flexibility and dimensional stability by applying a specific backing material compsn. containing foam particles to the rear of a surface base material for a carpet or the back base material for the carpet to bond both surface and back base materials through the coating layer under pressure and heating both base materials to specific temp. to cure and dry the coating layer. CONSTITUTION:A specific backing material compsn. is applied to the rear of a surface base material for a carpet and/or the back base material for the carpet and, before the applied backing material compsn. is cured and dried, the rear of the surface base material for the carpet and the back base material for the carpet are superposed one upon another through the coating layer of the backing material compsn. to be bonded under pressure. Thereafter, the coating layer is cured and dried. At this time, the backing material compsn. is prepared by adding 120-400 pts.wt. of a hydraulic inorg. cement powder, 20-200 pts.wt. of foam particles and 0-300 pts.wt. of a non-hydraulic inorg. powder to an aqueous emulsion of a resin with a glass transition point of 5 deg.C or lower with respect to 100 pts.wt. of a resin solid.</p> |
