PURPOSE:To assemble a flat rotor without carrying out bonding-agent coating and drying steps, at an increased operation efficiency in a short period of time, by placing coil rings in recesses provided in a rotor base, and setting the coil rings in the recesses firmly by caulking while applying a pressure to the surfaces of the coil rings. CONSTITUTION:A rotor base 2 having a commutator plate 4 thereon is provided with a plurality of coil-holding recesses 5 therein. A coil ring 1 consisting of a substantially annularly wound strand is placed in each of the recesses 5. A pressure is applied to the surfaces of the coil rings 1 to extend lower portions of the coil rings 1 into widened bottom portions of the recesses 5 so that the coil rings 1 are fixed firmly in the recesses 5 by caulking. Thus, the coil rings 1 can be firmly set in the recesses 5 without using a bonding agent, at an improved operation efficiency. This allows the number of parts of a flat rotor to be reduced, and the assembling time to be shortened. |
