PURPOSE:To shorten the length of a blast duct, miniaturize an electric blower and reduce the dimensions of a machine as a whole which employs the electric blower, by fixing an electric blower to an end bracket, and subject an electric motor to forcible cooling. CONSTITUTION:An electric blower 41 consisting of a casing 42 containing a fan 43 therein and an electric motor 44, in which a support 48 is joined, for example, between a casing 42 and the electric motor 44, is fixed to an end bracket of a forced draft type electric motor 1. Cooling air sucked from a suction port 46 of the electric blower 41 is introduced into a suction port 2 of the electric motor 1 via a discharge port 47 and a duct 49 to cool the interior thereof. The resulting air is discharged from a discharge port 3. According to this structure, the duct 49 connecting the discharge port 47 of the electric blower to the suction port 2 of the electric motor 1 can be shortened. Accordingly, the electric blower 41 can be miniaturized. |
