PURPOSE:To provide a clinker consisting of a chromium solid soln. spinel and corundum and a refractory using the clinker, having high erosion resistance to slag and excellent thermal shock resistance and without the sinterability being deteriorated due to the contained chromium while reducing or eliminating environmental pollution, an increase in raw material cost, etc. CONSTITUTION:This clinker contains 2-10wt.% MgO, 0.05-20wt.% Cr2O3, >=90wt.% of Cr2O3 plus alumina and <=5wt.% of impurities and has a crystal phase in which the spinel crystal of the magnesia and alumina forming a solid soln. with chromium and corundum crystal coexist. |
