PURPOSE:To obtain a water-soluble tonic by forming a clathrate of garlic components in a cyclic dextrin derivative. CONSTITUTION:Garlic components are brought into contact with a cyclic dextrin derivative in the presence of water adjusted the pH to 3-6 with citric acid or a volatile mineral acid and the garlic components are included in the cyclic dextrin derivative to give the objective tonic of inclusion compound of garlic component. The tonic is expected to have tonifying action on human. These garlic components are readily taken and are promised to be as a medicine, a healthy food, etc. |
