<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of particulate filters, when recovered, which are provided for an exhaust gas cleanup device in parallel in an exhaust gas passage by individually judging the residual conditions of particulates in respective filters when the recovery is finished or interrupted and preventing the excessive trapping of particulates in the specific filters in consideration of the next recovery order. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust gas particulate removing device for a diesel engine which is provided with particulate filters 5A, 5B arranged in parallel in an exhaust gas passage for alternate recovery has a means to individually detect the residual amount of particulates in the respective filters when the recovery is finished including when interrupted and a means to decide that the filters are recovered next time in the order of the greater residual amount of detected particulates. Next time, the particulate filters can be recovered in accordance with the recovery order decided by the filter recovery order deciding means.</p> |
