PURPOSE:To obtain high-quality pictures by a method in which an electrifying transfer recording medium having a conductive layer and an image receiving layer and an ink medium, having a thermoplastic ink layer are provided in such a way as to set the image receiving layer and the ink layer in a face-to-face manner, and voltage is supplied to the conductive layer. CONSTITUTION:An electrifying transfer recording medium consisting of a conductive layer 301 and an image receiving layer 302 and an ink medium consisting of a thermoplastic ink layer 303 and a supporting layer 304 are provided in such a way as to set the layer 302 and the layer 303 in a face-to-face manner. When a voltage pulse 108 is applied through a return electrode 107 from a recording electrode 306, ink is melted and transferred to the layer 302 by Joule heat generated there. Since the melting of ink and the heating of the layer 302 are made during the application period of heat energy and the permeation of the ink is accelerated thereby, the reproductivity and efficiency of transfer recording can be enhanced. |
