PURPOSE:To provide an Fe base alloy showing high saturation magnetic flux density and low core loss in a high-frequency area and capable of obtaining excellent D.C. superimposing characteristics and to provide its manufacturing method. CONSTITUTION:The compsn. of the objective Fe base alloy is substantially expressed by a general formula: (Fe1-xMx)aXbM'cM''dXeZf (in the formula, X denotes Cu, Au or the like, M denotes Co, Ni or the like, M' denotes 4a group elements, 5a group elements, 6A group elements, rare earth elements or the like and M'' denotets Mn, platinum group elements or the like as well as a+b+c+d+f=100, 0.01<=b<=8, 0.01<=c<=10, 0<=d<=10, 0<=e<=25, 3<=f<=25, 15<=e+f<=30 (at%) and O<=x<=0.5 are satisfied). The structure of the alloy has fine crystalline grains in which the average grain size lies in the range of 5 to 100mn, and in which FeB series compounds and FeP series compounds are contained as a part of the fine crystalline grains. The FeB series compounds and FeP series compounds can be precipitated by converting the molten metal of the Fe base alloy into amorphous one and thereafter executing heat treatment at a temp. of -100 to +50 deg.C to the secondary recrystallization temp. of this alloy. |
