PURPOSE:To enable a manufacturing cost to be reduced by shortening the length of a perforated film and simplifying a film driving mechanism by a method wherein the perforated film retaining ink is reciprocated in a cartridge case and the ink is replenished into micropores upon delivery thereof. CONSTITUTION:A thermal head 2 in contact with a perforated film delivers ink 4 retained is micropores of the film in the form of an ink droplet 4a upon actuation of a heating element by means of a drive signal. Herein, the ink 4 is kept in a cartridge case 7 containing the film the head 2, a driving part, and an elastic member 6, and always replenished into the micropores of the film. Then, the driving part reciprocates at a higher speed than a driving frequency of the thermal head when the thermal head is selectively driven by the driving signal from the thermal head driving part to drive reciprocating motion of the film. Thereby, the ink is replenished into the microproes from which the ink was delivered. |
