PURPOSE:To obtain a positive printing operation even with the use of an unstabilized power source by driving a motor for driving a mechanism in a manner that the motor is kept standing when the applied voltage fluctuates to fail to apply a specified voltage by the use of the unstabilized power source but is driven when the voltage is recovered after waiting. CONSTITUTION:In a printer equipped with a head 101 for printing on a paper sheet and a motor 107 for driving a mechanism, an unstabilized power source 10, 111-113 is used, and a voltage detecting means consisting of a detecting part 210 and CPU 220 detects the voltage applied to the motor 107 at its actuation. When the voltage detected by the means does not reach the level for sure driving of the motor 107, a controller consisting of CPU and a program ROM 221 drives the motor 107 after a prescribed waiting time. As a result, an accurate printing operation is obtained even with the use of an unstabilized power source to reduce the cost. |
