PURPOSE:To provide the subject food effectively acting on various symptoms developed due to malbloodstream, containing, as active ingredient, lipids on the periphery of the internal organs of Pelamis platurus (a kind of sea serpent belonging to Hydrophiidae). CONSTITUTION:The head and tail of Pelamis platurus are removed, and the internal organ bag with lipids stuck to its periphery is taken out and thoroughly washed with water to wash the blood off. Thence, the bag, in a pressurized state, is heated in water for ca.2hr to completely separate the lipids from the bag and the pale yellow lipids in the supernatant is collected. The lipids thus taken is mixed with various food stocks to obtain the objective blood stream- improving food in an known form. Or, the lipids is formulated with an edible fatty oil such as safflower oil, vitamin E, and lecithin followed by encapsulation using e.g. gelatin. The lipids is rich in highly unsaturated fatty acids such as docosahexaenoic acid and docosapentaenoic acid and has high blood stream- improving activity, thus promising possible efficacy for such symptoms as to have not been improved even if vitamin E is taken, also being high in safety. |
