PURPOSE:To treat a dark brown waste fluid having high COD concn. of a fire extinguishing protein foam solution. CONSTITUTION:Proteinase is added to a waste fluid of a fire extinguishing foam solution under heating and stirring and formed floating matter is removed by filtering while sulfuric acid and pyrophosphate are added to a filtrate under stirring and the acid containing filtrate is subjected to adsorption treatment in a first activated carbon bed having a lime bed and the treated solution is subjected to adsorption treatment in a second activated bed having a lime bed provided to the upper layer part thereof and composed of activated carbon particles finer than those of the first activated carbon bed. By this treatment, a colorless transparent waste fluid whose COD concentration is 6ppm or less is obtained. |
