摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To improve control accuracy by making the control based on a deviation model equation follow the high-speed change of rolling conditions such as an edge drop deviation on the inlet side and making the control based on an edge drop predicting equation follow the low-speed change of rolling conditions such as the rolling characteristics of a rolling mill. CONSTITUTION:The edge drop Dx on the outlet side is determined by the edge drop predicting model equation. The amount of roll shift is calculated based on the edge drop predicting equation I and set to the rolling mill. Further, based on the deviation model equation that shows the relationship between the edge drop deviation of a rolled stock on the inlet and outlet sides of the rolling mill during rolling and the changed amount of roll shift of the rolling mill, the amount of roll shift is changed corresponding to the edge drop deviation on the inlet side. Calculation of the amt. of roll shift based on this edge drop predicting model equation I and setting of the result to the rolling mill are executed at frequency lower than the frequency of the change of roll shift using this deviation model equation. In this way, stable control with high control accuracy of edge drop can be realized.</p>
