PURPOSE:To make it possible to hold the quality or freshness of refrigerated foodstuffs by carrying out intermittent control of a compressor and an evaporator so that the temperature in a refrigerator may conform to a setting temperature and controlling the rotary speed of the compressor, corresponding to the setting temperature. CONSTITUTION:A refrigerator provides a refrigeration cycle which includes an evaporator and a compressor and forces an evaporator to circulate the air in the refrigerator, thereby heat-exchanging with the evaporator. In this case, the temperature in the refrigerator is set by means of a temperature setting instrument 15. The humidity in the refrigerator is set by means of a humidity setting instrument. A control circuit 14 controls intermittently a compressor 5a and an evaporator fan motor 10b by way of an inverter 17 and a drive circuit 18 so as to keep the temperature in the refrigerator virtually constant to the setting temperature. Furthermore, the control circuit 14 controls the rotary speed of a condenser fan motor 11b way of a drive circuit 19. |
