<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a portable memory medium which is free from deterioration of electrically insulating properties and high in reliability by providing both a plurality of contact terminals and the electrically insulated layers for insulating the intervals of respective contact terminals on a card base plate and exposing the constituted external terminal on the outside surface. CONSTITUTION:An external terminal 3 is constituted by providing both a plurality of contact terminals 1, and the electrically insulated layers 5 for electrically insulating the intervals of respective contact terminals 4 on a card base plate 1. A portable memory medium is former by exposing the external terminal 3 on the outside surface. At this time, the surfaces of the electrically insulated layers 5 are regulated to the same level as the surfaces of the contact terminals 4 or projected higher than the contact terminals 4. Thereby since the surfaces of the electically insulated layers 5 are not recessed from the surfaces of the contact terminals 4, a recessed part is not formed on the surfaces of the electrically insulated layers 5. Accordingly deterioration of electrically insulating properties between the contact terminals 4, is effectively prevented because abrasion powder generated from the contact terminals 4, and a contact pin is not collected. Further when the surfaces of the electrically insulated layers 5 are regulated to the same level as the surfaces of the contact terminals 4, abrasion powder is easily wiped off even if the same is stuck.</p> |
