<p>PURPOSE:To miniaturize an apparatus, to reduce the generation amount of sludge and to easily construct a treatment plant in a city hard to ensure a site, in a method for treating waste water by the contact with activated sludge, by allowing tannin to be present in activated sludge before bringing waste water into contact with said sludge. CONSTITUTION:In a method for treating waste water by the contact with activated sludge, tannin is charged in activated sludge in an amount of 0.001-300mg per liter of waste water and this sludge is brought into contact with waste water. Since tannin is easy to polymerize and becomes high-molecular matter, the properties of sludge are different from those of sludge using no tannin and the filtering speed of sludge increases by 2-3 times. Further, putrefactive bacteria can be suppressed and the biota of a treatment tank is diversified and, therefore, treatment effect is enhanced and treatment itself is also stabilized.</p> |
