<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an image consisting of smoothly connected pixels by improving the surface smoothness of a plain sheet when a received image layer is transferred to the plain sheet using a thermal head. CONSTITUTION:A thermal head 8 consists of a transfer recording medium 23, a means to hold a received image layer, an ink holding means and a means to control the heating of the thermal head. When transferring the received image layer, a specified signal with a special pulse width which is suitable for the thermal fusion transfer of the received image layer is output from an energized pulse width control circuit 31 through a system controller 23, by the switching operation of a switch 33, Consequently, the thermal head 8 is heated to transfer the received image layer to a transfer recording medium. After the completion of transfer of the received image layer, the switch 33 is changed over to output a control signal based on an image signal from the energized pulsewidth control circuit 31 for the heating of the thermal head. Finally an ink is transferred to the surface of the received image layer of the transfer recording medium.</p> |
