<p>PURPOSE:To provide a power steering device in which responsiveness and efficiency are improved by a method wherein an assist motor employing an induction electric motor is charged with power, which produces torque, according to twist torque of a handle and a car speed during steering of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:A twist torque sensor 5 is arranged to a steering shaft 4 coupled to a handle 3. An assist motor 7 employing an induction motor is attached to a gear box 2 and a signal from a car speed sensor 61 is guided to a controller 6. During steering, a torque current by means of which necessary torque is generated is set based on signals from the torque sensor 5 and the car speed sensor 61, and an assist motor 7 is charged with the current to execute steering.</p> |
