PURPOSE:To provide a control device for an automatic transmission capable of setting capacity so that the optimum capacities in two different conditions, for instance, in the optimum capacity at the time of ordinary traveling, and in the optimum capacity at the time of quick starting can be compatible, in the clutch of the automatic transmission. CONSTITUTION:A first clutch (b) and a second clutch (c) are arranged in parallel to each other in the torque transmission system of an automatic transmission (a), and the control device of the automatic transmission comprises a connection control means (e) by which either one of the first and second clutches (b), (c) is connected under a prescribed condition, while both of the clutches (b), (c) are connected under the other prescribed condition, on the basis of the signal from an input means (d). |
