PURPOSE:To ensure that a thermal recording material does not come in contact with a light source for fixing. CONSTITUTION:Contact prevention materials 22, 23 for receiving a color thermal recording material 13 are provided between an optical fixing device for yellow 16 and an optical fixing device for magenta 17 as well as these devices and a platen drum 10. These contact prevention members 22, 23 are made of a material which allows transmission of an ultraviolet beam from ultraviolet ray lamps 18, 20. Consequently, the thermal recording material is prevented from coming in contact with the ultraviolet ray lamp and having data recorded due to its heat. In addition, the thermal recording material is kept almost constantly distant from the ultraviolet ray lamp and the ultraviolet beam is not lost or emitted unevenly due to ultraviolet transmissivity. Thus it is possible to fix the print optically with high efficiency and uniformity. |
