PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording material not lowering whiteness and recording density under a high temp. condition by providing a thermal recording layer containing a compd. expressed by a specific formula along with a basic dye and a developer on a support. CONSTITUTION:A coating solution for a thermal recording layer is prepared by dispersing predetermined amounts of a colorless-light-colored basic dye, a developer and a compd. expressed by formula I (wherein R1, R2 and R3 are a hydrogen atom or a 1-4C alkyl group and X and Y are a hydrogen atom or a hydroxyl group) in an aqueous solution of a water-soluble polymeric binder under stirring to be applied on a support such a paper or a plastic film and dried to form the thermal recording layer to obtain a thermal recording material. As the compd. expressed by formula I, there is a compd. expressed by formula II and, as the basic dye, there is a triallylmethane dye or a diphenylmethane dye. The obtained thermal recording material can eliminate developed color fog at high temp. even when a hot-melt substance is together used as a sensitizer. |
