PURPOSE:To improve the productivity of elastase by improving the translation efficiency of an esterase gene to a protein. CONSTITUTION:The translation efficiency can remarkably be improved by substituting the translation initiation codon TTG of a natural elastase gene to ATG or GTG by site-specific mutation. The objective elastase can be mass- produced by this process. |
