A PFBC power plant, in which combustion of a fuel takes place in a pressurized, fluidized bed (1) in a combustor (2) enclosed in a pressure vessel (3). Flue gases generated during the combustion in the bed (1) are cleaned from dust and supplied primarily to a gas turbine (9), which drives a compressor (10) for compression of the air. The pressure of the compressed air is further increased in a turbocharged cycle by supplying the air to a turbo-compressor (20) for turbocharging, after which the air is supplied to a subsequent turbocharged combustor (22) where the temperature is raised by means of combustion of an added fuel whereupon the generated waste gases from the combustion are supplied to and expanded in a gas turbine (24) for the turbocharger. After expansion the waste gases are passed, according to the invention, through a pressurized heat exchanger (30) where the waste gases are cooled before they are passed on via the pressure vessel (3) to the fluidized bed (1) as oxygen-carrying gas for maintaining the combustion in the bed (1). In the pressurized heat exchanger (30), heat is emitted to tube bundles (32) for generation and/or superheating of steam. |
