Stabilising incinerated household waste residue - by adding hydraulic binder to prevent release of toxic material during lixiviation

Process for stabilising residue resulting from incinerating household waste consists of intimately mixing with a hydraulic binding agent followed by high energy compaction. USE/ADVANTAGE - A material for making roads which are to be subjected to light or average traffic. The binding agent reduces the amt. of toxic material, such as heavy metals and chloride or sulphate salts, which would be reduced during lixiviation thereby conforming to the current standards of ecological and environmental legislation.
