<p>The invention relates to a manual control device with manual actuation lever (101) carrying a ball joint (104), this lever being jointed (articulated) about two orthogonal axes (114, 115). According to the invention, the manual actuation lever (101) is extended, beyond its ball joint (104), by a calliper (105) which is rigidly attached thereto, the said calliper having two branches (106, 107) between which passes a transmission knuckle (108) attached to a reversing member (109) mounted pivotably on a spindle (110) and connected to a first flexible cable (112); one of the branches (107) of the calliper (105) is connected directly to a second flexible cable (113). The rocking of the actuation lever (101) about the first axis (114) or the second axis (115) thus induces a tension or a compression on the associated flexible cable, depending on the direction of the said rocking. A locking means (116) is furthermore associated with the ball joint (104) of the manual actuation lever (101) so as to preclude any rotation of the said lever about its longitudinal axis (103), whatever the position of this lever.
