The coupling transmits a tension load from a withdrawal bearing to a clutch diaphragm spring, having a coupling member (30) with collar acting against the spring on the opposite side to the bearing. Inside the sleeve portion of the member is a coupling circlip(40) distorting elastically in the radial direction and locking into engagement with the bearing. The circlip is positioned in the member by an open clip portion passing through a slot in the latter. A removable distorting insert(80) in the member holds the circlip in position in conjunction with the latter. The insert can be split and with a grip(81) protruding from the rear side, by which it can be pulled out. The grip can comprise an axial tongue inserted near the slot in the insert, and with a boss(84) at the free end for easy gripping. ADVANTAGE - Circlip will not work free during engine testing prior to the gearbox being fitted to it. |
