The implant consists of a flexible sheet-type body (3) of a disc shape, which includes a central cut-out portion (4) located adjacent to the eye's pupil. The sheet is curved slightly convexly towards the front of the eye for implantation in the anterior chamber (2) of the eye. The sheet is located in the cavitary sinus (6) of the anterior chamber and extends in front of the iris (8). The sheet is made of pigmented material whose colour differs from that of the iris. Fastening portions are formed integrally with the body for locating it in position in the eye. USE/ADVANTAGE - Alters or completes iris colouring without interfering with optical properties of eye. |
