Colour lamp for stage lighting - has colour derived from circular dispersion prisms and with structured apertures over outer cover of lamp

The lamp dispenses with colour filters and derives the separate colours by light dispensing prisms (7, 8). A colour spectrum pattern with a circular layout appears on the cover (10) of the lamp, where circularly symmetrical shutters are operated to generate the selected colour effect. With full apertures the separate light components combine into a white beam outside the lamp. The light from the filament (1) is focused on to the entry face (83) of a fibre-optic element (5), which leads the light to a circular condenser lens (6). Two prism rings (7, 8) split the light and a ring lens (9) focuses the colour rings onto the aperture plane (10) with a white light effect beyond the aperture plane from parallel and non-parallel light components. USE/ADVANTAGE - Stage lighting. No loss in intensity through filter absorption, infinitely variable lighting effects.
