The suction hose connection uses a curved or angled pipe (1) coupled to the suction hose (4) at one end, its cylindrical input section (5) having a double-walled rubber sleeve (6). This fits over the exhaust pipe and the inner wall is pressed inwards to seal around the outside of the exhaust pipe via pressurised air. The input section (5) has a slide (8) displaced axially into the vicinity of the rubber sleeve (6) via a bias spring (11) and moved in opposition to the spring upon fitting the sleeve over the exhaust pipe, which acts against a stop (13) of the slider. A switch ring (17) carried by the slider cooperates with a sensor (16) providing a control signal for the supply of pressurised air. ADVANTAGE - Simple disconnection from exhaust pipe with automatic release upon displacement of latter.
