<p>A method is provided for securing a wellbore tool assembly (17) to a wellbore tubular member (19). The wellbore tubular member (19) defines a surface with a substantially cylindrical shape having a selected tubular diameter (207). A wellbore tool assembly (17) includes a plurality of ring-shaped components (31, 37, 165) with at least one ring-shaped component defining a cylindrical surface having a selected ring diameter (209) which differs from the tubular diameter of the wellbore tubular member. A plurality of radial groove members and radial land members (273, 275) are formed on a least one of the cylindrical surface of the wellbore tubular member (19) and the cylindrical surface of the at least one ring shaped component of the wellbore tool assembly (17). The wellbore tubular member (19) and the at least one ring-shaped component of the wellbore tool assembly (17) are joined together in a shrink fitting operation.</p> |
