PROCESS AND DEVICE FOR REMOVING THE GRAVEL LAYER FROM FLAT ROOFS

A process is disclosed for removing the gravel layer from flat roofs that need to be reconstructed. According to this process, a special, lightly-built wheel-loader is lifted by a crane onto the flat roof to be reconstructed, the gravel is removed by the wheel-loader almost down to the vapour barrier and is dumped into a rubbish pipe or into a rubbish box standing on the flat roof. The remaining gravel is swept away with shovel and broom. A lightly-built, 400-500 kilogram heavy wheel-loader with a very long wheel base (155 cm) and large wheels is used to implement this process.
