PURPOSE:To provide silicon steel plate described in the title having excellent magnetic properties by continuous casting, by conducting one or more passes of rolling which produce vertically unsymmetrical plastic flow in the direction of plate thickness of slab or hoop during hot rolling of a silicon steel slab contg. specific quantities of Si, C etc. CONSTITUTION:In plural passes of hot rolling of a slab, which is produced by usual process and contains 2-4wt% Si, <=0.085wt% C, is subjected to one or more passes of rolling which produces vertically unsymmetrical plastic flow in the direction of plate thickness of slab, hoop, or steel plate, whereby unidirectional silicon steel plate, which has very excellent magnetic properties, and which has no banded grains due to the incomplete secondary recrystallization in annealing, and whose crystals have (100)<001> direction, is manufactured by continuous casting which otherwise tends to cause abnormal grain growth when the slab is at high temp. |
