Disc drive for receiving at least one storage disc having a central opening. The disc drive has a drive motor, which is provided with a stator and a rotor. For a particularly compact design, it is ensured that the drive motor passes coaxially at least partly through the central opening of the storage disc and that a securing means is provided for the rotationally fixed connecting of the storage disc to the rotor of the drive motor.
