The device has a photoconductive imaging drum (210) rotating in a housing through an imaging station, an image developing station, an image transfer station (220) for transferring the developed latent image to a copy sheet and a cleaning station (222) for removing the residual toner material. The removal toner material is fed to a collector (272) within the housing from which it can be supplied to a removable container (270). The collector has a reservoir (276) for the removed toner material, with an opening (2640) in the base of the housing for delivery of the collected toner material to the container, controlled by a cover (282) which is biased into the closed position and released by insertion of the container.
