Method of producing a spiral multi-conductor cable, wherein the cable is wound onto a cylindrical mandrel and subjected to heat treatment, characterized in that a heat-shrinking jacket is slid over the multi-conductor cable, and next, after the whole has been wound spirally onto a cylindrical mandrel, the cable and jacket are subjected to a temperature of approximately 130 degrees C for a period of 1.5 to 3 minutes, preferably 2 minutes, after which they are cooled to ambient temperature and the cable and jacket are again wound onto a cylindrical mandrel in the reverse direction.
