Removal of liquid and gaseous media from absorption refrigeration system - emptying and disposing liquid and gaseous media from vessel or compound systems connected to pipes which are tapped and connected to rinsing system and collection container across connecting lines

The liquid or gaseous media are rinsed out in the rinsing system (5) using water or a soln. contg. water under pressure, and then rinsed again using compressed air, following the tapping of the pipelines (3,4), connected with the vessel (2) or the compound system. The liquid or gaseous media are driven out using water with a pressure of approximately 3-6 bar, and then with compressed air at a pressure of approximately 3-6 bar. The media are driven out in a neutralisation mixture in a collection container (6,7). ADVANTAGE - Potentially harmful materials e.g. heavy metals contained in liquid or gaseous media are removed and disposed of, in basically non-risk environmentally protective manner using relatively low pressure.
