The water heater has an extruded profile (2) receiving the flow pipe (1) and one or more tubular heating elements (4,5). The bent ends (14) of the heating elements are received by a sound profile (3) parallel to the first. Pref. the second profile (3) has 2 concentric curved recesses for receiving the bent ends fo a pair of hair pin tubular heating elements and a central bore for the Cu or CrNi steel flow pipe (1). A further profile may be fitted to the flow pipe for receiving a temp. regulator. USE/ADVANTAGE - High heat transfer efficiency between heating elements and flow pipe over long operating duration.
